Gerrard pays tribute to Chelsea start
Liverpool and England captain Steven Gerrard has paid tribute to Chelsea legend Frank Lampard as he prepares to play his 100th game for England.
Lampard will join Gerrard as one of the few players to play 100 times for England, joining the likes of Peter Shilton and David Beckham, if he plays against Ukraine tomorrow.
Despite the constant remarks that the pair cannot play together in the same team, perhaps that time has passed.

Gerrard was full of praise for a player who has been a close rival and team-mate for many years, in an interview with the Mirror.
“Frank deserves all the accolades that he get,” Gerrard said. “For me, it is always nice when we are in the same team.

The 35-year-old is keen on the idea of becoming a manager after he retires.
Frank Lampard has hinted that he could move football management when he finally decides to call time on his Chelsea career.
The veteran midfielder is set to play his 100th game for England in Tuesday’s crucial World Cup qualifier against Ukraine on Tuesday to becoming only the eight player to reach a century of caps for the Three Lions.
Although the 35-year-old continues to belie his age on the field, finishing last season with 23 goals for Chelsea, talk has shifted to what route he will go down when the time comes to hang up his boots – with Lampard admitting that he could venture into coaching.
“I want to play for a good few more years,” he told Metro. ”I will try and concentrate on that and then I will see what comes open. I certainly wouldn’t rule anything out after that.
