Although the window is closed but clubs can still sign players who are free agents and if reports from Spain and Italy are to be believed, Arsenal are on the verge of signing either Ciprian Marica or Joseba Llorente on a free transfer.
Ciprian Marica was a target for Arsenal in the just concluded transfer window but nothing came out it but after failing to land his more rated strikers, Wenger is now said to be considering signing the player on a free transfer. Marica is a 27-year-old Romanian international with 21 goals in 63 matches for his country. He was recently released by Schalke 04. Aside Schalke, he has played for Stuttgart and Shakhtar Donetsk.
