Wenger commends Ozil impact at Arsenal
Arsene Wenger admits Mesut Ozil's deadline day arrival at Arsenal has given 'a lift to everyone at the club'.
The Gunners left it late to complete their most important piece of summer transfer business, with Ozil lured away from Real Madrid in a £40million-plus deal.
Securing the signature of one of European football's most creative talents was seen as a major coup for Wenger, who had previously been criticised for his reluctance to spend big on world-class performers.
Arsenal knew exactly what they were getting in Ozil, with there few who doubted his ability to slip seamlessly into the Premier League fold.
He has hit the ground running with the Gunners - with his home debut on Sunday seeing him have a hand in all three of Arsenal's goals in a 3-1 victory over Stoke City - and Wenger believes there is even more to come from the 24-year-old once he has fully adjusted to life in England.
"He gave a lift to everyone at the club. He will be the point of our team work, team play."

The French tactician said: "He gave a lift to everyone at the club. He will be the point of our team work, team play.
"He will get better when he fully integrates into the pace of the game. It is not just him, the whole team. We look solid.
"My job here is to make everyone happy, hopefully they are happy at the moment.
"When you play against Stoke you don't expect to score from three set-pieces, it shows how important Ozil's delivery is.
"When you look at his numbers, the assists are not a coincidence, they are a reality of his game. He is a great player."
